Social spaces

Bring your cocktail dresses girls and your black tie gents. Who wouldn’t want to be dressed in their best for a candlelit celebration in the stately dining room.  Set the scene with pre-dinner drinks on the terrace, or in the drawing room with the log fire glowing.

Day time, the light filled Blue drawing room would be hard to resist for morning coffee and chatting, curled up on the sofa.

The kitchen will be a magnet for any keen cooks and is a easy place to mingle around the marble topped central island, while the meal is prepared. For more casual dining, the breakfast room is just next door.

Bedrooms

When it’s bedtime, enjoy one of the ten sumptuous bedrooms, some with ensuite – think cosy underfloor heating, free-standing baths, some for 2. There’s one bedroom with a 4 poster for the romantics among you. The upper floor, with vaulted ceilings, decorated in a simple, peaceful style, are great for youngsters or anyone who wants a little downtime from the party.

The 10th bedroom, via a separate staircase, leads off the entertainment room and might be the one for the night owls. It has it’s own ensuite and a copper bath for 2, a vaulted ceiling – very impressive!

Fun Spaces

There’s a lot here and you might need to book a longer stay to make the most of it!  

Within the house, the first floor entertainment room has a billiard table, table football and cocktail bar. For some relaxation, snuggle into the extra-large sofa and watch a movie on the big screen. There’s another big screen downstairs if you can’t agree what to watch.

Outside

The hot tub sits in the courtyard, sheltered in all weathers, with relaxation and star gazing in mind. For the slightly more energetic there’s croquet on the front lawn, overlooking parkland far into the distance.  

Within the rest of the estate there’s a fabulous selection of activities that can be booked. Enjoy horse riding, river fishing and clay pigeon shooting. Much of the estate can be peacefully explored and enjoyed on an electric scooter tour.
