Cheltenham Chase

Cheltenham Chase can be found along a quiet, tree lined lane and opposite the Cricket Club.

Through the front door and you’re welcomed into a house full of light – spacious, immaculate and glamorous. The communal spaces are large for great times all together, spilling out into the garden on fine days.

Social spaces

This is a very social house. Light, bright modern, all the living spaces flow from each other, pale tiled floors tying the interiors together. The kitchen-dining areas, have a sleek, modern, Californian beach pad vibe. Add in the number of full width bi-fold doors and you could be in Malibu.

The large bleached grey, T shape dining table seats everyone together. If you’re barbecuing, it couldn’t be easier, to enjoy the best of both worlds and the Sonos speaker system will have you dancing anytime of day, wherever you are in the house. Please note there is a noise policy after 10pm outside.

In the kitchen a casual breakfast at the smaller table, while the coffee brews nearby, sets the scene for a relaxing day, perhaps by the pool, or maybe exploring the regency town of Cheltenham.

Bedrooms

Two ground floor bedrooms, (black-out blinds, on the internal glass doors), with a nearby WC & basin. Directly up the stairs to the bathroom above. On the first floor, 5 bedrooms share one landing and a separate staircase from the Snug, leads to 2 other bedrooms. A good option, for anyone wanting to be a little tucked away, for a slightly quieter stay at the house. 

Hens will love the Master Bedroom with it’s 4 person hairdryer station, bring your robes and indulge, the baths are enormous, so don’t forget your bubble bath either. In total there are 3 en-suites, 2 family bathrooms and the pool shower room, all with high spec fitting and tiled floors.  (see the house floor plan here)

Fun spaces

The Snug & tv room has the biggest bean bag possible and the largest DVD collection we’re ever likely to see. If you’re a film buff, you may not leave the couch. But drag yourself away, just through the sliding doors to the indoor swimming pool (this has a tv too!). A fantastic size pool, great for swimming some lengths, for children to play and maybe a little water polo. The loungers make relaxing too easy and with the sun streaming through the bi-fold doors, all you’ll need is a drink in your hand.

Within the house there’s a pool table and attached to the side of the pool house is the separate table tennis room, with external access from the terrace. 

Bright pops of colour throughout the house, the artwork and full size cut-outs of Tintin & Captain Haddock, nod to the fun approach of the owner in furnishing this delightful home. 

Gardens

Set within an acre of garden, on one side of the house, there’s a stylish terrace, with a fountain and clipped box hedging, it’s a grown up, Chelsea Flower Show, space. The other side is for playtime – the indoor pool opens out to the terrace and lawn where there are mini football goals, picnic tables, seating and the barbecue. It’s likely to be the hub of your holiday, when the weather’s fine.

A Few Small Points..

• Up to two dogs by request. (£100 damage deposit per dog). Rules apply.
• Children & animals must be supervised around the pool.
• The annex up steps, above the garage, sleeps 2 guests. Extra charge of £100pn.
• Pool towels are not provided.
• Please bring charcoal for the bbq.
• Mature hen & stag parties by request.
• No noise outside after 10pm.
• Friday and Monday arrivals only. Arrival 4pm / Departure by 10am. Sunday departure 4pm
• We recommend taking out your own personal travel insurance prior to booking.

Location

Cheltenham Chase is only a few miles from the centre of Cheltenham, with it’s wonderful shops and restaurants and yet you are in rural surroundings, opposite the Cricket Club. Cheltenham Spa railway station has excellent links to the rest of the UK.
